Mary Elizabeth (Layne) Hunter

Mrs. Mary E. Hunter, 98, of Clearwater, died Friday, September 4, 2020, at her residence.  Born in Michigan, she and her husband moved from Trenton, MI to Dunnellon, FL where they lived for 16 years, prior to moving to Clearwater in 1994.  Mrs. Hunter loved playing cards and playing golf.  She was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays.  She will long be remembered for her red lipstick and her unique, infectious laugh.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2000, and her brothers Harry and Phillip Layne.  She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Litwinski (Tim), of Clearwater, and her grandchildren Emily Flanders (Paul), Andy Litwinski (Melissa), and great grandchildren TJ Flanders and Molly Flanders, all of Murfreesboro, TN.

Graveside services will be held at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens at 1 PM on Thursday, September 10, with her son-in-law Timothy Litwinski officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice or a charity of your choice.
