Maxine I. Hunter

Maxine I. Hunter, 94, died on October 7, 2024 at Canterfield of Ocala. She was born into this life on January 18, 1930 in Detroit, MI, and was the daughter to the late Edward and Janet (Wilson) Chastain. Maxine married the late Richard Hunter on February 3, 1951. She has been a citrus county resident since 1984 coming from Rockwood, MI. Maxine was a Bank Teller by trade and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dunnellon. She enjoyed time with family, a good book and playing cards. Her good sense of humor provided so many laughs. “ So we remember now in love, your life from start to end, We thank our Lord, that we knew you, as a mother, and as a friend”.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Maxine leaves behind her children, Larry Hunter and his wife, Jan, Kathy Onkala and her husband, Arnie, and Craig Hunter; her sisters, Janet Douglas and Joan Deneau; her seven grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren.
