Mercer W. Trefethen

Mr. Mercer W. Trefethen,  73 of Dunnellon, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his residence. Born in Sanford, Maine. He served in the US Navy on the USS Marias. Once discharged he resided in Seabrook, New Hampshire where he owned and operated a convenience store until he retired in 1990 then moved to Dunnellon Florida.  Throughout his life he worked hard, enjoyed spending time outdoors: hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his wife Irene of 47 years, his two daughters Donna Spivey of Lorton Virginia, and Karen DeMeola of Ocala Florida. Three grandchildren Bryan Dumont, Brittany DeMeola and Ian Spivey. His bothers Timothy and Chris of Dunnellon Florida, his sisters Rea Reed of Kittery Maine, Judy Jean of Dunnellon Florida, Priscilla Driver of Dunnellon Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren Trefethen, his sisters Joellen Cote and Janet Parenteau.

Visitation for Mr. Trefethen will be held from 2-4 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, Florida.
