Meshall K."Buddy" Michael

Meshall K. “Buddy” Michael died May 1, 2016 after a short illness.  He graduated from Ocala High School, Central Florida Community College and the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a Master’s Degree in Guidance.  He was a well respected educator in Marion County Public Schools, being at Osceola Middle School for 40 years.  Buddy was a beloved brother, uncle, friend, and teacher.  He is survived by sisters Patricia Michael Kelly (Larry), Camilla Michael Lusco (Sal), Henrietta Michael Hardman, brother Joseph Michael (Wanda), and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Eugenie Michael.  His family extends their heartfelt appreciation to his many special and faithful friends.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.  Graveside funeral services for Mr. Michael will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 S. Pine Ave., Ocala.  The family will receive friends at noon at a reception and Celebration of Buddy’s Life at the Ocala Elks Club, 702 NE 25th Ave, Ocala. The family has established the Buddy Michael Memorial Fund for Osceola Middle School's Library, and checks can be made payable to the Buddy Michael Fund and mailed to 11 Interlaken Road, Orlando, FL  32804.
