Michael Thomas Bartek

Michael T. Bartek, 88, passed away peacefully in his home on June 23, 2022.  Mike was born on March 5th 1934 in Homestead PA where he met Mary Lou Adlington.  He entered the Army and after an honorable discharge, he married Mary Lou and had two sons.   He had his own business, B & B Refrigeration, which specialized in bar equipment until he moved to Florida in 1985. Mary Lou passed away after moving to Florida.  He was very passionate about AA and helped many people get sober.   This is where he met his second wife Margaret who passed away in 2013.

He is survived by his two sons Michael Bartek Jr and Scotty Bartek, his granddaughter Gena (Dustin), his two great grandchildren Trisha and Ayden, and step granddaughters Kelsey and Dana.  Mike supported and loved everyone to a fault.  Up until the time of his death, he was a staunch supporter of Oxford Downs and literally gave them the shirt off his back.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Robert’s Funeral Home in Dunnellon.
