Bishop, Michael R., age 81 of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Niota, TN and Castleberry, FL, passed away November 24, 2011. Mike retired from the United States Air Force where he served as Load Master during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He loved to play golf and treasured time spent with family and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bishop; son, Scott Bishop; parents; Capt. Luther and Mae Bishop; brother, Phil Bishop; sisters, Phyllis Evans and Joyce Goode. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Butch Schwitzer; granddaughters, Carly Bishop, Lisa Naivair and husband William, Mary Beth Simmons and husband Ernie; sister, Jo Anne Lewandowski; nephew, Michael Dameron and wife Kim; niece, JoyMae Sypniewski and husband Chris. Mike's smile and humor will be missed, but family and friends can find comfort in knowing now that he is at peace. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Orlando,FL.
