Michael W. Carter, 67, US Navy Vietnam Veteran, died unexpectedly on November 28, 2017 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. He was born in Beaumont, TX to the late Dwayne A. Carter, Sr. and Thelma F. (Martin) Carter. Michael retired as a police officer. He was a former member of the First United Methodist of Dunnellon. Michael is survived by his wife Jerry Carter; his son, Shawn Carter and his daughter in law, Vannessa Mellott.
