Nancy Jean (Mead) Mcdilda

Celebrating the life of Nancy Jean McDilda  (January 28, 1932-October 10, 2015).  Nancy Jean McDilda departed this life for her eternal rest on Saturday morning peacefully in her sleep.  Nancy was born in Braceville, OH to the loving parents of Charles and Florence Mead.  She moved with her family to Dunnellon, FL in the early 50’s where she met and married her husband of fifty seven years Herbert (Gene) McDilda.  Nancy was employed by the Brevard County Schools for more than ten years as a Library Clerk.  Her hobbies included socializing with friends, making holiday crafts, cooking sweets, rollerblading and taking long peaceful walks with her dogs.  Nancy is survived by her loving husband Gene, one daughter Jean Anne; one sister Janet Murray and her husband Bob, both of Dunnellon, FL.  Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Christine McDilda.  Funeral services will be held Thursday October 15, 2015 at Wylie Baxley Funeral Home, Merritt Island, FL.  Visitation will take place starting at 6:00 PM with a service to follow at 7:00 PM.  Interment will be held at 1:00 PM Friday October 16, at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens, Dunnellon, FL, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon.
