Nancy McCulloch Meyer passed peacefully on November 18, 2015.
Born August 29, 1922, and raised on a farm in West Virginia, she led a life filled with family and friends. After graduating from Bowling Green Business College she married Charles Meyer. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Nancy, who were born in Charleston, West Virginia and raised in Wilmington, Delaware.
Excelling in golf, bridge and real estate, she enjoyed life with gusto. Upon moving to Dunnellon in 1983 Nancy and Charles built a house on the Withlacoochee River. There she felt every day was an adventure being able to view the wonderful wildlife. She enjoyed many happy gatherings with her sisters who became neighbors along the Withlacoochee. She treasured the many friends she made through her career in real estate, her bridge clubs, and her many years playing golf at the Rainbow Springs Country Club. She was president of the Florida Senior Golf Association and the brassies. Nancy is survived by her daughters Jennifer and Nancy, her son-in-law Joseph Hoyt, and her grandson Adam Hoyt.
A memorial visitation will be held at Roberts funeral Home in Dunnellon from 1-3 PM on Friday, December 4, with a graveside service at Dunnellon Memorial Gardens immediately following. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Nancy’s name be made to Legacy House c/o Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, Florida 34478.
