Nancy Jean Spaulding-Albright

Nancy Jean (Spaulding) Albright passed away unexpectedly at her home in Dunnellon, Florida on September 22, 2022. She was born on November 30, 1962 in Manistique, Michigan to her parents Camillie(Deloria) Spaulding and Grover Spaulding of Garden, Michigan. She lived in Garden until she graduated from Big Bay deNoc High School in May of 1980 where she graduated as Co-Valedictorian of her class. She attended Bay deNoc Community College and later joined the Air Force, where she spent most of her four-year enlistment at Keesler Air Force base in Biloxi, Mississippi. She met the love of her life, Michael Albright, after he slayed a very huge cockroach for her, he was her Hero. She graduated from the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Food&Nutrition - Summa Cum Laude. Nancy and Mike were married in Connecticut on May 16, 1987 and lived there until they moved to Sunrise, Florida. On October 18, 2006, Nancy lost Mike to a long-time illness. During her time in the South Florida area Nancy attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale where   she earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition Science. While working on her Masters she developed a passion for Vitamin D Research and deficiency prevention. During her career she worked as a Dietitian at Boca Raton Community Hospital, Health South and Davita Kidney Dialysis Facilities. She was also the Past President of the Broward County Dietetic Association. Some of Nancy's fondest memories were the time spent enjoying the sunsets over Katie's Bay in Garden. She also loved her yearly travel adventures all over the United States with her two best friends, Elise Cotrone & Bonie Nelson.

She is survived by her brothers, Richard ( Kathy) Spaulding of Garden, Michigan, Thomas ( Alane Wills) of Lachine, Michigan, Jerry(Karen) of Waldo, Wisconsin and Mary Radgens of Tamarac, Florida. Also surviving her are many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, mother and father-in-law, husband (Michael), brother (James), Friend (Gloria) and her beloved feline children Myles, Amber, Lion and Micghi. Her feline children surviving her-Michaela, Cami,  Taz.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sister and friends, Bonnie, Elise, and Marti Forman of Dunnellon, Florida.

Nancy's fondness for Tofu & Lentils was only surpassed by her love of cats, birds, and her beloved car, a Mazda RX7 she named Rex.

A Celebration of Life will be held in June or July in Garden, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Marion County Humane Society. Rest in peace our little sister and friend.
