Nina Faye Fowler (Formerly Nina Claffey-Land) passed away at home on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Retired from Bank of America, Nina worked for over 30 years in the banking industry where she began as a teller and worked her way into bank management. She moved to Dunnellon in 1976 with her late husband Larry Claffey, local fishing guide. Nina was a dedicated, tenured member and officer for the Women of the Moose. She was born October 20, 1935 to James and Maude Wagner in Hill City, Kansas and is survived by her brother, Herbert Wagner (Carolyn) of Kansas; granddaughter, Dawn Bowne (Jeff) and grandsons, Nick and Mike (Malinda) Claffey all of Dunnellon; grandson, Johnathan (Darby) of Zepherhills; granddaughters, Cheryl (David) of St. Petersburg, Sarah (Jason) of Georgia, Melissa (Diron) of Georgia, Chelcie of North Carolina; ten great grandchildren; step daughters, Karen (Phil), Debbie (Mike), and Pam of Georgia, Susan of Virginia, and Kathy of Dunnellon. Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, 21501 W. Highway 40, Dunnellon, FL 34431 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27th. There will be lunch and fellowship following service at Friendship Hall.
