Pamela Louise (Campa) Bland

April 28, 1949 — February 22, 2024

Dunnellon

Pamela Campa Bland, 74, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024 surrounded by her family and friends. Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her smile lit up every room and her laughter never faded throughout her 24 year battle with Parkinson’s. She grew up in Tampa, but she lived in Dunnellon the last 40 years with her soulmate.  They loved traveling to the beach, mountains, and especially to see all of her extended family whom she loved so much. Pam treasured every minute with her grandchildren at school activities, sporting events, and singing and dance recitals; and they adored her. Pam and her son, Scott, shared a special bond. Everyone loved Pam and enjoyed visiting her, Dana, and their dogs.

She was a woman of faith and put others first. As a RN then Health Occupations teacher, she inspired many students to become nurses. She and Dana helped with Parkinson’s awareness as well as participated in fundraising. Her family will miss her immensely. Pam’s memory will forever live in the lives she touched by her strength, kindness, and loving spirit.

Pam is survived by her husband, Dana Bland; her son, Scott Stephens (Lori); grandchildren, Hope and Cole Stephens; sister, Barbara Siwik (Bob); brother, John Campa (Wendy); brother, Mike Campa (Pam); and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Barbara Campa, and nephew, John Campa, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, at the First Methodist Church, 21501 W. Highway 40, Dunnellon at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Pam Bland may be made to the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases, PO Box 100243, Gainesville, FL 32610.
