Patricia M. Cormier

MILLINOCKET and DUNNELLON, Fla. - Our loving wife, mother, mammy and great friend, Patricia M. Cormier, went to be with her Lord Jan. 19, 2013. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Dunnellon, Fla. She was born June 15, 1925, in Millinocket, to Thomas and Pearl (Reed) Simpson.
She married Percy Cormier, Oct. 29, 1947, celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary last fall. Together they raised seven children. For the last 28 years she and Percy were "snow birds" spending their winters in Florida and summers at their camp on Smith Pond. In either location she will be remembered for her fun filled personality and her great cooking, and hosting many gatherings and the many plates of cookies that were given to those she loved. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Millinocket, and Romeo Baptist Church, Dunnellon, Fla. She was proud to have worked and managed the Harvest House Restaurant for several years in the 1980s.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Diane Hooper. Surviving are two sisters, Gwendolyn York, and Grace and husband, Allan Harris; sister-in-law, Sue Hartt; the loves of her life: husband, Percy; son, Tom and wife, Laurie; daughter, Patricia and husband, Matthew Yeo; son, Joel and friend, Veronica; daughter, Gayle and fiancé, Peter Michaud; daughter, Marcy and husband, Daryl Knowlton; son, Daniel and friend, Regina; and daughter, Holly and husband, Joe Neeb. She was blessed to have 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. We love you Mom, you are forever in our hearts.
