Patsy D. Dorsey

August 30, 1937 — July 28, 2022

Citrus Springs

Patsy D. Dorsey, 84, died peacefully under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, Florida. She was born in Louisville, KY, and was daughter to the late James Noah Crump and Lola Aline (Pardue) Crump. Seven years ago, after many moves from different states, Patsy and her husband, Leon relocated to Florida. They were a well traveled couple, having traveled to all contiguous 48 states, as well as Mexico and Canada, whether it be in their vehicles or on their motorcycle. Patsy was an extraordinary hostess who loved serving and attending to her family and friends. Patsy was a sweet, open hearted lady who never met a stranger. She was a master gardener and her homes always resembled the pages of Southern Living magazine, impeccably clean, organized, full of plants and extremely welcoming. Her husband can quote her as, “When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls, her husband entrusting his heart to her.” (Proverbs: 31-10,11). We will miss you and we will always treasure your kind spirit, your warm smile, and all the beautiful memories as we say goodbye for now, until we meet again. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of sixty two years, Royce Leon Dorsey of Citrus Springs, FL; her son, Gregory R. Dorsey (Terry), Santa Cruz, CA; her daughters, Pamela Smith (Craig), London, OH, Joy Dorsey Rushton, Lewisville, NC; her brothers Jimmy (Barbara) and Jerry (Darlene) Crump, KY; her sisters, Brenda and Phyllis; her grandchildren: Brooke Hastings (Shannon), Tyler Smith, Caleb Smith, Meredith Bennett (Lucas), Nicole Carl (Ryan), Bronwyn Rushton and Kira Rushton; great grandchildren: Morgan Hastings, Ethan Hastings, Ashton Hastings, Irelyn Hastings, Layton Hastings, Raziel Smith, Hunter Bennett, Reed Bennett, Marissa Bennett, Trigg Bennett, Emma Bennett and Chase Carl.
