Paul Michael Adkins July 21, 1986 – May 4, 2025

Paul Michael Adkins, 38, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of St. Marys, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, after a courageous three-year battle with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Paul faced his illness with extraordinary strength, grace, and an unyielding spirit that deeply moved everyone who knew him.

Born on July 21, 1986, in Charleston, WV, Paul was known for his quick wit, generous heart, and his unwavering devotion to family and friends. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Landon Adkins, who was the greatest joy of his life. Paul is also survived by his father, Mark Adkins; his sister, Kristina Adkins; his nephews, Riley and Logan Boley; and his lifelong friend, Alishia Wise. He is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and childhood friends who will carry his memory with them always.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Kathy” Adkins; his grandmother, Beverly Hammock; and his grandparents, Alfred and Thelma Adkins.

Paul brought light and laughter wherever he went. His humor, resilience, and deep compassion for others defined him. Whether sharing stories, offering support, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Paul made everyone feel welcome and valued. He loved to share his passion with music by sitting around with friends and family playing his guitar. His presence in this world was a gift, and he will be remembered with profound love and admiration.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, the family invites those who knew and loved Paul to join them in celebrating his life at two upcoming gatherings - one in Florida and one in West Virginia - to be determined at a later date. These celebrations will be a time to share memories, laughter, and the enduring impact of Paul’s life. His sister, Kristina, will be coordinating the events and can be contacted for details.

Paul’s strength, love, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
