PAUL F. DIMAIO, age 83, of Citrus Springs, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, FL. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was a retired police officer with the Pittsburgh, PA police department with 30 years of service.
Mr. DiMaio was a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Army; member of the Riverland Baptist Church, Dunnellon, FL, and a life member of the Pittsburgh FOP. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and was an avid player and fan of Senior Softball.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Friday, June 29, 2012, at Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon, FL, with Rev.Rex Carringer officiating. Interment will follow at the Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, FL. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Roberts Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Marie, Citrus Springs, FL; sons Michael D. (Diane) DiMaio, Stow, Ohio and Paul D. (Joyce) DiMaio, Sewickley, PA; daughter Angela (Tom) Furry, Meadville, PA; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers ,the family requests donations in the memory of Mr. DiMaio to Riverland Baptist Church Building Fund, 19455 SW 61st Street, Dunnellon, FL 34432.
