Paula Jean True

Paula Jean True, 92, died on August 16, 2024 while under the care of the Reserve at Citrus in Lecanto, FL. She was born into this life on June 27, 1932 in Floyd County, KY and was the daughter of the late William Elza Wells and Mary Bayard (Roberts) Wells. In 1952, Paula moved to Maryland and raised her children. She worked for the US Post office and in 1985, Paula relocated to Lakeland, Florida and continued to work for the Post Office until her retirement in 1992. She was an avid golfer and was a member of the Cleveland Heights Golf Club in Lakeland. Paula also enjoyed bowling, but most importantly, she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and she will be forever remembered in our hearts until we meet again.

Paula is preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. True, Sr.; her brothers, Kermit Wells and Roger Wells; her sisters Janice Dunseith, Phyllis Russell, Greta Branhan,  and Sally Morris.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Leila M. Smith, Lecanto, FL, Louella M. Miller, McKinney, TX, Carla J. Stewart, Lakeland, FL, Carl E. True, Jr., Winter Haven, FL, Rodney A. True, Beverly Hills, FL,  Karen M. True, Dunnellon, FL; her sister, Carol Ward, KY, and loved by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Paula’s family will have a Graveside Service by her husband’s grave in Maryland.
