Phyllis Elaine (Kemmerling) Brunswig

Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Brunswig, 89, of Summerfield, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.  Born in Kewanee, IL, she and her husband moved to this area in 1964, coming here from Rock Island, IL.

Mrs. Brunswig was a member of the Lake Weir Yacht Club and was an avid bridge player.  She had a large circle of friends, due in part to her infectious smile and her indomitable spirit.  Her Christmas card list was legendary.  For 72 years of marriage, she was her husband Ray’s right hand, be it in the home or in their business ventures.  She will be remembered as a great Mom and Grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Ray, her son Norman Brunswig and his wife Beverly, her daughter Bonnie Lou Dunlap and her husband Richard, her brother William Kemmerling, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Patton.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 19, at the Weirsdale Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Walter Laseter officiating.  Services in care of Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL  34478
