Ralph Saletto was the son of proud Italian immigrants; the late Vincenzo Saletto and Josephine (DeGuardi) Saletto. He was born on March 13, 1934, in Bronx, NY. He proudly served in the Army stationed in Korea for 3 years. Ralph is survived by his loving wife Catherine (Fontana) Saletto, to whom he was married for 65 years. He is also survived by his three children: daughter Carolyn Saletto of Lancaster PA, son Ralph Saletto and his wife Robin of Lititz PA, and daughter Janine (Saletto) Kiernan and her husband Michael of Lancaster PA. Ralph has 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Ralph’s surviving brother, Vincent, resides with his wife in New Port Richey FL and he had 5 brothers and 2 sisters who preceded him in death. He also has many nieces and nephews who reside across the country.
Ralph loved cars and over the years he worked as a mechanic and body man and later owned his own business; Property Damage Appraisers where he was an Insurance Adjustor. He sold his business and he and his wife retired to Dunnellon Florida where he enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing and tinkering in his garage.
A viewing will be held at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon FL on Friday July 11, 2025, from 2 to 5 pm. He will be interred at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River NY.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to E.W. & Lucille Cates House, Hospice of Marion County located in Ocala Florida.
