Mr. Gomez was born in Guarabo, Puerto Rico and was a brilliant professor who once built an entire car, including everything but the tires.
He is survived by his beloved wife Fela Gomez as well as two daughters: Diana Berman of Ocala and Sandra Boren of Fort Lauderdale.
A private committal service will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens at a later date.
