Richard M. Edwards

Richard M. (Dick) Edwards was born May 22, 1942 in Quincy, Massachusetts and passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Lecanto, Florida.

Dick was a beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He was very proud of his country and served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. Dick and his wife, Bess were married on December 21, 1963 and were blessed with Kenneth Whiton Edwards in 1965 and Mary Edith Edwards in 1969. He was a proud big brother to Robert Lincoln Edwards  and equally proud grandfather to Matthew Norman McFall and Marcus Richard McFall, sons of his daughter, Mary and her husband Norm.

Dick worked for many years for General Foods Corporation in Maryland and Massachusetts and retired from there in 1992. Dick had a servant’s heart and after his retirement and move to Florida, he enjoyed helping his fellow church members and neighbors in many ways. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills for ten years and a member of First Baptist Church of Dunnellon for seventeen years.

Dick would want you to know that it is well with his soul and he is now in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ and has been freed from his pain and worry.

Memorial Service celebrating Dick’s life will be held at First Baptist Church:20831 Powell Road, Dunnellon on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
