Rob Roy Jamison, Robbinsville, NC, 90, died Tuesday at Legacy House, Ocala, FL. He was born in Lancaster, PA on October 30, 1921. He married Peg (Janet) Hilton before he shipped out to England to fight in WWII. After the war he began his construction business and built homes in the Lancaster, PA area. He moved his family to Daytona Beach, FL in 1963 and worked for Wolcott Paper Company as well as building homes in Volusia County. He was well known in both Lancaster and Daytona for his coaching springboard diving at the high school and college level. They moved permanently to Robbinsville, NC in the early 2000's. He continued his building interests in remodeling a mountain cabin. He spent the last year living in Dunnellon, FL
He is survived by his sister Phyllis Jamison of Lancaster, PA as well as his 2 sons; Rob Roy Jamison II and Greg Jamison, his grandson Dr. Tyler Jamison and 3 great grandchildren.
Due to his military service in WWII he and his wife Janet will be interred at Florida National Cemetery
