Robert V. Alther

Robert V. Alther, 73, Dunnellon, Florida resident formerly of Port Jefferson Station, New York passed away at home on May 7, 2015. He was born into this life on May 5, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Hans P. and Loretta (Cook) Alther. He graduated from Plainedge High School, NY and served in the US Navy.  Robert was a Reiki Master and member Self Realization Fellowship, He was a spiritual teacher and friend to all.  He enjoyed playing chess, hiking, canoeing, camping and being one with nature. Robert's presence, influence and humor will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and students.

He is survived by his wife Diane; his children:John Alther and  Bonnie Mulieri and (Tony) of Holbrook, NY; his sister, Linda Santaniello and (Mike) of Shirley, NY; his grandchildren, Meagyn,Millie, Tony, Karl, Nicholas and Gina; his nieces and nephews: Debby, Sabrina, Sarah, Eddie, Charles, Jennie, Heather, Mackenzie and Cody.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at  Rainbow River Sate Park,Dunnellon on Monday 5/25 at 10am. There will be a celebration on Long Island, NY in July. Time and place to be announced. Please call Diane at 352-425-1992 for more information.
