Robert L. Comegys

Robert L. Comegys, 63, of Ocala, FL, passed away on September 21, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Robbie, as his friends referred to him as, was a man of simple tastes who wanted no fanfare after his passing. In lieu of a formal service there will be a gathering to remember him by at a later date, on the river, followed by a picnic. Robbie was born in Chestertown, Maryland on June 24, 1956. He was married to Libbie E. Comegys on June 21, 1976; they were married for 43 years. Robbie was employed by Monterey Boats of Williston for 20 years as a maintenance supervisor. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, watching the races or football and fishing on his beloved boat.

Robbie is survived by his wife Libbie; his daughter, Terri Boucher and her husband, Matthew; his son, Robert  L. Comegys and his wife, Rachel; grandchildren Brandon, Layla, Olivia and Maddox; sisters Cheryl Wise, Dorothy Comegys, Phyllis Pearson and Donna Pearson; his brothers Zachary Comegys and Leroy Comegys(wife Linda); and several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Robbie is preceded in death by his mother Eva Comegys.
