HESS, Robert C.
Mr. Robert C. Hess, 77, of Morriston, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at his home. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he and his wife moved to this area 20 years ago, coming here from Cudjoe Key, Florida. He was in the submarine service in the US Navy, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Hess was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Hess, his son Eric Hess (Margaret), his daughters Laura Villardi (Anthony), and Heidi Bohannon (Tony), his two brothers Vincent McNulty (Lynn) and Harold Hess (Vera), 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Hess will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, March 13, 2015, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon. A mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday, March 14, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with full military honors.
