Robert "Bob" Howard Anderson

Bob Anderson, 91, died Wednesday, March 13, 2025 in Hernando, FL.  He was born March 12, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York to Howard and Marie (Mayer) Anderson.  He and his wife Sonja moved to Dunnellon in 2000 from Virginia Beach, VA.  Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 58, Dunnellon, FL and the NRA. He retired from Grumman Aerospace where he worked for many years as an engineer, working on the lunar module for Apollo 12, and the F-14 Tomcat.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Sonja, in January of 2023. He is survived by his four daughters Karen Warshel (Bill), Barbara Allston (Keith), Kathy Anderson, and Lisa Barnhart, as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Bob and Sonja’s remains will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made American Legion Post 58, PO Box 1211, Dunnellon, FL  34430.
