Robert "Bob" E. Hunt, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home, leaving behind a legacy of service, hard work, friendship, and devotion to his family.
Born on June 26, 1930, to Robert E. Hunt, Sr. and Charlotte Hunt, Bob was raised in Ramsey, New Jersey, where he spent his childhood and formative years. As a young man, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Gregory DD-802, serving from November 18, 1950, until September 17, 1954.
Following his military service, Bob built a successful career with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, a division of United Technologies. Through dedication, perseverance, and strong leadership, he advanced within the company and ultimately retired as a General Manager. Those who worked alongside him knew him as a hardworking, respected professional who took pride in a job well done.
After retirement, Bob made his home in Citrus Springs, Florida. An avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time on the course, where he formed many lasting friendships. Throughout his life, Bob had a gift for connecting with others and was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and genuine nature.
Above all else, Bob cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn H. Hunt; his son, John Hunt and wife Martha; his daughter, Linda Hulbert; grandchildren Robert Hunt, Amanda Davis, Cynthia Toler and her husband, Christopher "Chris," and Christopher Hulbert; great-grandchild Dorian Toler; and many other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Bob made many friends during his journey through life and touched the lives of countless people along the way. While he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the hands of God and Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
