Robert J Stewart (Snoopy), 11/09/1930 – 04/25/2014, passed away at home with his loving granddaughter, Debra (Swiental) Lusk and her husband Keith Lusk, at his side.
He died ten days short of the two year anniversary of the passing of his beloved wife, Norma. They were married 56 years.
He is survived by his daughters: Wendy Henry (Mishawaka, IN) and Laura Moss (Colorado Springs, CO). Grandchildren: Debra (Keith) Lusk, Mary (Joseph) Hektor, Shane (Amber) Etherington, Victor Etherington and Patrick Moss. He also had eight great grandchildren.
He was a Korean War Veteran and was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps with the rank of sergeant.
He was the treasurer of the Lake Tropicana Civic Association and enjoyed the club, the people and Bingo.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Services: A military procession will begin at Robert’s Funeral Home in Dunnellon, Florida, at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 6. It will lead by the Florida Patriot Guard to the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida where a military funeral will take place.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 11:00 AM at the Lake Tropicana Civic Association club house.
