Robert A. Lapore

May 17, 1940 — November 29, 2024

Robert A. LaPore, 84, died on Friday, November 29, 2024 in Lecanto, FL. He was born on May 17, 1940 in Bell Gardens, CA and was the son to the late Albert and Ethel Mae (Jenkins) LePore. Robert grew up in California and after high school enlisted with the United States Army. He met his wife while still in high school and later married and made their home in Alaska following his military service. He was a master plumber having worked in residential homes and then eventually he got in with the Alaska Pipe Trades Union working as a Pipefitter on the Pipelines. While living in Alaska he learned to fly and was able to hunt his first moose. Upon retiring, after forty five years in Alaska, Robert and his wife wanted to move to a warmer climate, so they made their home in Citrus Springs, FL. He enjoyed puzzles, golfing, hunting, fishing and helping others. Robert also was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in south Dunnellon. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife of sixty five years, Frana LaPore; his daughters, Debra Bradford, WA and Elizabeth LePore, MD; his brother, Albert A. LePore and many grandchildren.
