Robert E. "Bobby" Markham

Robert “Bobby” Eugene Markham, 74, of Romeo, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2026.

Born February 20, 1952, in Ocala, Florida to the late Harvey Markham and Mildred Markham of Romeo, Bobby was a lifelong Marion County resident. He graduated from Dunnellon High School and earned his associate's degree before opening Ocala Dental Lab, which he owned and operated for nearly half a century. He also farmed the family land in Romeo — land that has been in the Markham family for over four generations.

Bobby loved football, fishing, hunting, and working his farm. He never met a stranger and was happiest with friends and family around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Markham; his sister, Deborah Markham; and a great-grandson, Tyson Kelly.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Markham of Romeo; his daughters, Natalie Kelly and Sarah Wolf of Romeo; his brother, Rudolph "Rug" Markham and wife Lori, of Romeo; his sister, Barbara Gail Brazil and husband Jerry, of Saint Petersburg; grandchildren Chase, Savannah, Mason, Knox, Insley, Isla Bell, and Briggs as well as his great-grandchildren Jaxon, Emerson, Colson, and Harvey Robert.

Viewing will be held at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon. Interment will follow at Hickory Springs Cemetery in Romeo, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a memory of Bobby and take time to get to know your neighbor, just as he always did.

Please note: There will be no formal procession to the cemetery. Family and friends may drive directly to Hickory Springs Cemetery for the burial, or may go directly to the Markham family home near the cemetery for fellowship and food. All are welcome at the home immediately following the funeral service.
