Robert Lee Mcclendon

Robert Lee McClendon, 86, died on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Ocala, FL. He was born and raised in Mesquite, TX to the late Albert and Minnie (Parker). Following high school he enlisted and served our country with the United States Air Force and became a photographer. He retired as Staff Seargent. During his time in the military he married Shirley and they had two daughters whom they raised and enjoyed many memories with. Robert made his home in Dunnellon from  1974 until 1991 and was the first real estate salesman for Context Development Company in Rainbow Springs.  He enjoyed gardening, traveling, rock collecting and photography.  He leaves behind his wife of 63yrs, Shirley McClendon, Dunnellon; his  daughters, Caroline Spitznogle (Ricky), Yvonne Kirchner (Don); four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
