Robert Lee Paugh

Robert Paugh, 97, died on December 1, 2025 at his residence in Citrus Springs, FL. He was born on November 17, 1928 in Gleason, West Virginia and was the son to the late Jess and Blanche (Felda) Paugh. Following high school, Robert enlisted with the United States Army Air Corp and was a veteran of WWII. 

After serving his time with the military, Robert made his home in Oakland, MD where he worked several different jobs including, a Steel Company, Drivers License Examiner, and owning and operating a store amongst many others. In 2014, Robert and his late wife, Carole moved to Florida. He became a member of the American Legion Wall Rives Post 58. He was also a 32nd degree mason in Oakland, Maryland. In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed, tinkering and fixing different things, woodworking and you would even catch him in the yard in his 90’s with a chainsaw trying to trim and cut down trees. He also spent countless hours volunteering at different local charities. He was strong willed, and had a mind who could recollect and remember things of the past. He will greatly be missed by all of his family and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by wife, Carole and his three brothers and five sisters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of nine years, June Paugh; his sons, Bruce Paugh and his wife, Donna, and Bryan Paugh and his wife, Ellie; his stepson, Matthew Adams and his wife, Christine; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his Kitty Cat.

In lieu of flowers, Robert’s family prefers memorial contributions to be made to Joy and Praise Fellowship Church: 6670 N Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
