Robert Stevens May 15, 1958 – July 28, 2026

Robert Stevens, born on May 15, 1958, in Hollywood, Florida, lived a life that was as full as it was inspiring. He was the kind of man who seemed capable of doing anything he set his mind to. Whether he was riding the waves while surfing, casting a fishing line, training for triathlons and Ironman competitions, cycling for miles, or simply enjoying a cold beer with friends, Robert embraced every moment with enthusiasm and gratitude.

A second-generation roofing contractor, and proud owner of Stevens Roofing Inc., Robert dedicated his life to his craft and built a reputation for hard work, integrity, and excellence. His work was more than a profession—it was a reflection of the pride he took in providing for his family and serving his community.

More than his accomplishments, Robert will be remembered for the way he experienced the world. He noticed the little things that many people overlook. He would stop to admire a beautiful sunset, gaze at a full moon, or simply pause to smell the roses. He found joy in life’s everyday moments and encouraged those around him to do the same.

Robert possessed a rare combination of strength and gentleness. He had a quiet presence that made people feel at ease, yet his character left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was one of the most unique individuals you could ever meet.

He wore his heart openly. He was moved to tears by movies, meaningful music, and stories of the underdog overcoming impossible odds. His compassion was genuine, his encouragement sincere, and his laughter contagious. He could be wise and dependable one moment, then wonderfully goofy and fun the next.

Above all else, Robert was devoted to the love of his life, his wife, Janie. Together they shared nearly 47 years of marriage—a partnership built on unwavering love, friendship, and commitment. Nothing in this world meant more to Robert than his family, and no one held a greater place in his heart than his “Angel”, Janie.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Jane “Janie” Stevens (Wilkins); his son, Robert Stevens II; his daughter, Rhiannon Ripple, and her husband, George Ripple Jr.; his cherished granddaughters, Marhia Mangold and Koryn Stevens; his brother, Danny Stevens, and his wife, Belinda; his nephew, Danny Stevens Jr.; his nieces, Rebecca Sillery and Heather Roland; and his many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Robert’s legacy is not only found in the roofs he built, the races he completed, or the miles he traveled, but in the countless lives he touched through his kindness, encouragement, generosity, and love. His memory will continue to live on in every sunset admired, every wave ridden, every fishing trip shared, and every act of compassion inspired by the example he set.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
