Robert David Wood

Robert David Wood Sr., age 70, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2011. A native of Tampa, FL he was a resident of Lecanto, FL and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon. He was on the staff of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes from 1976-2003. He was the loving husband of Barbara and father of Robert (Rosa) Wood Jr. of Roatan, Honduras, and Wendie Wood of Tampa, FL; Grandfather of Elizabeth Wood and Emily Wood; brother of Barbara (Dave) Greene of Norfolk, VA, Richard (Barbara) Wood of Long Boat Key, FL, Rosalie Horne of Homosassa, FL, Nancy (Jim) Burroughs of Tampa, FL, and Sara Spencer of Orange City, FL. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon with Rev. Eddie Fulford presiding.   The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to the First United Methodist Church for the Honduras Mission in honor of Bob Wood.
