Ronald R. Rupert

Ronald R. Rupert, 89, died on December 18, 2024 at Tampa General Hospital, Crystal River. He was born on August 8, 1935 in Allison Park, PA and was the son to the late Benjamin and Marcella (Oshea) Rupert. Following high school, Ronald enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He met his future wife, Janice MacDonald, while in the service and later married in 1956 and made their home in Newport, RI where they raised their son Robert. While living in Rhode Island he worked for Raytheon Company. In 1972, Ronald and his wife moved to Citrus Springs, FL and worked for the Citrus County facilities and Maintenance Department.  In his leisure time, Ron enjoyed going to the Dunnellon Methodist Church activities, building furniture, birdhouses, fishing and yardwork. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Ron is predeceased by his brother, Charles “Chuck” Rupert.

He leaves behind his wife of 68yrs., Janice Rupert, Citrus Springs; his son, Robert Rupert and his wife, Rebecca, Ocala, FL;  his two sisters, Eileen and Carol; his seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews and his two dogs, Thea and Thor.

Memorial services celebrating Ronald’s life will be held on Friday,  January 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dunnellon Methodist Church: 21501 W. Highway 40, Dunnellon, FL 34431.
