Rosa Jane Watson

Rosa Jane Watson, 70, of Ocala, Florida a retired bartender passed away peacefully at Brandley House Hospice on Sunday October 1st, 2023.  Rosa was born in New London, Connecticut to the late Helen Eudora Bump and Herbert Bump on November 25th, 1952. She was married to the late Reno "Pete" Watson of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Together they moved to Summerfield, Florida. in 1993.

Rosa was a dedicated wife and devoted mother, aunt and grandmother. Her home was always filled with her nieces, nephews, neighborhood children and later in life grandchildren. She loved Elvis, dancing and being with her family. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas cooking for her loved ones and giving her special hugs.

She is preceded in death by her husband Reno Watson, Jr. (2017) and granddaughter Gianna Watson (2004).  She is survived by her sons Reno Watson, III (Mari) of Pedro, Florida, Paul Watson of Pedro, Florida, daughter Dawn Kirby of Waterford, Connecticut, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 11:00 am at Roberts Funeral Home 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue. Dunnellon, Florida 34432.
