Roy Lee Mccallister

Roy Lee McCallister, 78, a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on February 25, 2022. He was born on September 19, 1943, to Chester and Kathryn (Wilson) McCallister in Logan, West Virginia. Roy loved spending time with his family most of all. He also loved woodworking, camping, spending time outdoors, gardening, and tending to his farm animals. He had a passion for restoring and repairing antique radios and working with electronics. He was a master tinker and loved to work on projects. He was a prankster and his sense of humor could make anyone laugh and brighten their day. He was sweet, and he loved unconditionally. He never held a grudge or judged anyone. He thought of others first and was loved by many.

Roy is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 39 years, Saundra McCallister; his daughters, Cynthia (McCallister) & Stephen Fischer, Melissa McCallister & Chris Keith, and Sarah (McCallister) & JD Hardin; his sister, Kathy; his grandchildren: Brandon Moon, Hope(Fischer) & Bernhard Wolmarans, Hallie (Fischer) & Trey Lagasse, Evan Fischer, Emma Hardin, and his great-grandson Bryton Moon.

Roy is preceded in death by his father Chester McCallister, his mother Kathryn (Wilson/McCallister) Fairbanks, his brother Billy Ray McCallister, and his stepfather Ralph Fairbanks.

Roy was very much loved and will be very missed by so many who knew him, but we know he will live on in our hearts until we are reunited in heaven.

A  Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at River Life Church, 2872 West Dunnellon Road, Dunnellon.
