Our beloved, RUSSELL L. BOLENDER, 77, went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2012.
He was born in Lima, Ohio, to Erma & Dan Bolender on Christmas Day 1934.
Russell was a graduate of South High School in Lima in 1952 and worked at Ford Motor Plant for 30 years. He moved to Florida in 1990 and loved Florida. He liked fishing, treasure hunting, wood-working, painting, and old cars. He loved, most of all, his family, friends and his loyal dog Star.
He was fun-loving, full of life, a great provider, and always willing to listen.
Russell was maried to Wilma Stone Bolender, his wife and best friend for 20 years. They loved to fish, travel, sing, paint and they enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is surived by his step-daughter Rhonda (Fred) Roman and step-grandchildren Riki and Ryan.
Previously, Russell was married to Barbara Pat (Tracy) Bolender for 30 years. They had five children Riki (Mike) Harpest, Marcia (Gary) Flemke, Russell Bolender Jr., Stuart Bolender and Carla Bolender as well as five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He had five brothers and sisters: Herb (Carrie) Bolender, Wayne (dec'd) (Judy) Bolender, Richard (Rose) Bolender, Becky (Glen) Kiefer, and Karen (Ed) Kelly.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
Russell will be deeply missed.
