Ruth Butterfield Davis

Born July 13, 1932, our beloved Ruth passed away on May 14, 2015.  Formerly of Canandaigua, NY, then Miami, Florida, and for the last 28 years, Dunnellon, FL.  Ruth was an exceptional woman of kindness, intelligence, strength and a sense of humor.  A wonderful and devoted mother to Carol (Bullock), John, and Keith, a loving mother to 3 grandchildren, Lauren Davis Cummings, Garrett Davis, Austin Davis, and most recently, a loving “GG” to her great-grandson, Charles Cummings, she will be deeply missed. Ruth was an avid golfer and traveler, was active in giving back to her community, enjoyed playing bridge with her large circle of friends, and cared deeply for her family.  She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, and was active and hard-working her entire life.   She is survived by her children and grandchildren, her brother, James Butterfield of Dothan, AL, and numerous friends and family members.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack, who passed away May 14, 2012.  We know that she has been welcomed to heaven with an abundance of love and joy. The gift of unconditional love she gave everyone will always be treasured.  Services will be announced at a later date.
