Sandy Pitts

August 30, 1954 — April 28, 2026

Bronson, Florida

Sandra Marie Pitts, age 71, passed away at her home in Bronson, Florida, on April 28, 2026. Born on August 30, 1954, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the late Orville Earl White and Isabelle Jeanne Tucker, Sandy lived a life defined by love, faith, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.

After graduating high school, Sandy married the love of her life, John Pitts Sr. They shared 42 devoted years of marriage and raised seven children. Sandy poured her heart into her role as a homemaker, wife, and mother, creating a warm and nurturing home for her family.

Her giving spirit extended far beyond her household. Sandy was a dedicated volunteer, supporting the Boy Scouts of America and volunteering at Bronson Elementary School (BES) while her daughters attended. A cornerstone of her faith community, she was a deeply active member of the First Baptist Church of Bronson, where she worshipped and served for over 25 years; Vacation Bible School in particular.

Sandy had a profound passion for nature and the outdoors. Whether she was camping, beachcombing, fishing, or taking rides through the woods to spot wildlife, she found immense joy in the natural world. Her curiosity led her to love animals, entomology, and hunt for fossils and Native American artifacts. An artist and decorator at heart, she expressed her creativity through unique, handcrafted seashell art and countless DIY projects over the years. Sandy was kind, exceptionally giving, and an exemplary mother.

Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Pitts Sr.; her parents, Orville and Isabelle; her brothers, Billy, Sonny, and David White; her sisters, Mary Lou West and Bonnie Jean Smith; and her precious granddaughter, Lilah Marie Pitts.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her brothers, Bobby and Richard White; her sons, John Jr., Jason, Jerad, Jacob, and Joshua; her daughters, Sonya and Shelly; and her cherished grandchildren, Dalton, Kirra, Elena, and Bella. Her legacy of love and grace will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be loved and missed dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Sandy's life will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Bronson, located at 460 South Court Street, Bronson, FL. Family and friends are welcome to attend and honor her beautiful memory.
