Soledad Velasquez Oftedahl

Soledad Velasquez Oftedahl, 90, died on May 14, 2025 at HCA West Marion Hospital in Ocala, FL. She was born into this life on May 14, 1935 in Mangaldan, Philippines and was the daughter to the late Pedro and Teodora (Tamaya) Velasquez. Soledad moved to Dunnellon in 1998 from Sterling, Virginia. She was a member of Grand View Church. She and her late husband, Orrin enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Orrin Oftedahl; her two brothers and one sister and just recently on May 19, her other sister died.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Lloyd Oftedahl, Falls Church, VA, Julie Oftedahl, Bear, DE, and Richard Oftedahl, Melbourne, FL; her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Grand View Church: 12401 SW Hwy 484, Dunnellon, FL 34432. Burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1PM.
