Sylvia Mergler

Sylvia Mergler (nee Hunt), 90, passed away Dec. 23, 2013. She grew up in Wayne County West Virginia and was a graduate of Wayne County High School. After graduation Sylvia moved to Maryland and during WWII was a riveter at the Glen L. Martin Aircraft Co.
Sylvia became a member of Joy Lutheran Church in Ocala, FL in 1991. She served as an ushering group leader for many years. A Memorial Service at Joy Lutheran Church is planned for a later date.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 67 years, John (Jack) Mergler, their son, John Mergler, Jr., daughter in law, Jean of Carrollton, Georgia as well as several nieces and nephews in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
