Terri Scofield Strong

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Teresa “Terri” Scofield Strong announces her passing. She passed from natural causes in the comfort of her own home. Terri was a lifelong resident of Florida, born in Brooksville on June 4, 1951. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Roland and Jessica McCord, her sisters, Jan Stout and Robin McBride, as well as her grandchildren, Hannah Quire, Charles Quire, Emily McCord, and Marti McCord.

Terri graduated from Florida State University in 1973 with a degree in nursing. She worked in the OR and was later promoted into an administrative role overseeing the operations of three Pinellas County hospitals’ ORs. Upon retirement, she returned to her hometown of Dunnellon with her late husband Jeffrey Strong, where she lived for the rest of her life. Terri loved the Rainbow River, almost as much as she loved her Florida State Seminoles. Arrangements are pending. For those who wish to honor Terri’s life, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Marion County Humane Society.
