Terry D. Farnsworth

January 17, 1943 — January 14, 2024

Terry Dale Farnsworth, 80, died on January 14, 2024 at Brookdale Paddock Hills Assisted Living Facility in Ocala, FL. He was born on January 17, 1943 in Oregon, Illinois and was the son to the late Leslie and Gertrude (Lecinski) Farnsworth. Terry served in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1965. He was a Hospital Corpsman and was stationed at the US Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA. He later became a Police Officer with the Chelsea Police Department where he met his late wife Ann Marie (Ford) Farnsworth. In the 1970’s he and his late wife made their home in St. Petersburg, FL where Terry briefly continued working in law enforcement, then became a Firefighter and eventually a Licensed Practical Nurse. He retired with Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Terry was a Mason for over forty years. He was Chaplain and  a member with the Masonic Lodge in Dunnellon , FL which merged with the Inglis, FL Masonic Lodge.  Terry enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking, biking, and he loved to take care of his property.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Marie Farnsworth; his half sister, Dorothy and his brother, Don Farnsworth.

Terry is survived by his children, Matthew (Heather Richards), Mark Farnsworth and his daughter, Sara Farnsworth (Sean).

Committal services with full military honors will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
