THEODORE ALLEN BLAUSER, 77 of Whittier, NC sadly passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, at his home. Ted loved the Blue Ridge Mountains and it is of some comfort that he passed surrounded by the scenery he so loved. Ted was born September 26, 1936 in Oil City, PA. A graduate of Ocala High School, Ted pursued his passion for flying and joined the US Army as a fixed wing pilot. In the mid 70’s, he owned and operated Ted’s Food Mart in Dunnellon. Later on, he was owner and operator of Florida Water Safari until his retirement. A consummate storyteller, Ted's family and friends were enriched by his humor and fun loving ways. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph L. Blauser, Sr.; mother, Florence Elizabeth Cleaver Blauser, brother, Ralph L. Blauser, Jr.; and daughter, Michelle Blauser Standridge. Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Harriet Adelle Hunter Blauser, and his loving children Allison Hamilton and husband, Russ of Suffolk, VA; John Blauser of Ocala, Elaine Hobbs of Dunnellon; Fletcher Fuller and wife, Alicia of Naples, FL. Ted's grandchildren, Nick, Denise, Dalton, Victoria, Maggie, Rachel, Dane, Angus and Flynt were a source of pride for him. Ted lit up every time he talked about them. He was a loving brother to Jim Blauser of Colleyville, TX and Janice Ray of Ocala. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michelle-O-Gram, 21765 SW 106th Ln Rd Dunnellon, FL 34431. Michelle-O-Gram is an organization set up in loving memory of Michelle Blauser Standridge to assist women who cannot afford mammograms. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Sept 15, 2014 in Dunnellon at Roberts’ Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
