Thomas M. Anderson

Thomas M. Anderson, 85, of Ocala, died Tuesday at the Legacy Hospice House in Ocala. Mr. Anderson was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Edna (Roberts) Anderson. He was a Supervisor for National Steel in Portage, Indiana; a United States Army Veteran; and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Valparaiso, Indiana and Queen of Peace in Ocala.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife Martha J. Anderson; granddaughter Melissa Anderson; great granddaughter Alexia Ortiz; six brothers; and two sisters. Surviving family includes four children; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister; and dear friend Deloris Proctor of Ocala.

He was an avid Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Fan as well as a golfer and bowler.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Valparaiso, Indiana with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Chesterton, Indiana. Funeral arrangements in Indiana will be cared for by the Rees Funeral home, Olson Chapel, Portage, Indiana (219-762-3013). Local arrangements are under the care of the Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 East Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Legacy Hospice of Marion County in Ocala.
