Thomas F. Embrey Jr, 84, a man who never met a stranger and a retired resident of Ocala, where he lived for twenty years, went home to be with the Lord on December 20th. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he moved with his parents Thomas and Orra Embrey to Miami, Florida where he attended Ponce De Leon High and the University of Miami; met his wife Lola Morgan; worked for Eastern Airlines and retired after 37 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. He was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Dunnellon. He enjoyed time with his family, sailing, bowling, fishing, and singing.
Tom is survived by Lola Embrey, his loving wife of 59 years as well as his children Steve Embrey and his wife Teresa, Sandra Khoeis and her husband Hicham, Robert Embrey and his wife Laura, and Tammy Judge and her husband Jeff. He also is survived by eleven grandchildren: Heather Jones, Brittney Teel, and Matthew Embrey; Jamal, Shaun, and Devon Khoeis; and Robert and Justin Embrey and Hollie Guy; Allison and Breanna Judge. His legacy also includes eight great grandchildren.
