Thomas C Plett Jr peacefully joined the Lord Jesus on March 9th 2017. He was born July 22, 1921 in Cadillac MI to Thomas C Plett Sr and Maude Fairchild. He married June Kittleman in 1941. Together they raised 3 children, Debra Overia, Penny Phares and Thomas (Linn) Plett 3rd. He served in WW2 Army Air Corp as a flight trainer and in the Korean conflict as a Navy Radar Man. They finally settled in Grand Rapids MI where they lived and finished raising their family until moving to Inglis FL in the late 90’s to retire. He was a devout Presbyterian and served his Loud faithfully with his Lobe of people and words of wisdom.
Tom leaves behind his 3 children, and grandchildren Stephanie Bell, Greg (Colleen) Overla, Ben Fradette, Tim (Carrie) Plett, Adam (Ariel) Plett, Sam Plett and Thomas Plett. Also surviving are his brother Jack Plett and sisters-in-law Betty Brown, Charlene Catalano and brother-in-law Ross (Mary Linda) Kittleman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in heaven by his wife, June (2007) and his sons-in-law Gary ”Jack” Overia and Ray Phares.
Tom touched many lives during his 95 years with his Faith, Love and Twinkling eyes.
There will be a local memorial service at the Yankeetown Community Church on April 23, 2017 at 2pm.
A private memorial will be held at a future date in Cadillac MI for internment.
