Timothy Mark Mizner

Tim Mizner, 70, of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Beverly and Jack Mizner on September 27, 1955 in LaGrange, Indiana. He married Ruthanne, the love of his life, in 1987, who survives him. Tim is also survived by his son, Jason Antley (Paula); his daughter, Jessica Schipper (Jordan); three granddaughters, Ava, Lyla, and Samantha; three brothers, Lynn, Creig, and Eric, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Clarann Rhoads.

Tim moved to Ocala in 1980 to begin his own livery service business, while also accepting a job as an investigator for the 5th District’s Medical Examiner office. He met many members of law enforcement, some of whom are still his close friends today. Tim’s family was always entertained with tales from this time of his life. Tim made a career change in 1996 and become a commercial real estate agent and land developer. He greatly enjoyed this work, and was thankful for the many clients and friends he made over the last 30 years.

To know Tim was to love him. Regardless of his hard exterior, Tim loved his people fiercely and would do anything for them. He enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, spending time with Ruthanne, laughing with his granddaughters, and traveling as often as possible, especially to Ireland.

According to Tim’s wishes, cremation has taken place through Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in Tim’s honor may be made to the Food 4 Kids program at Interfaith Emergency Services.
