T.W. "Smitty" Smith

It is with great sadness we announce Talmadge Waters “Smitty” Smith, 81, died on June 15, 2015 at Monroe Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born into this life on December 12, 1933 in Opp, Alabama to the late Burie and Tellis (Cotton) Smith. Smitty was a US Army Veteran, a loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend to all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. Smitty had a special love for bass fishing, attended every one of his grandchildren's activities, spent past time crusing with his loving wife, and loved traveling to Alaska. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Smith and Sister, Shirley Ariola. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 57yrs., June Smith, Dunnellon; his son, Wayne Smith, Dunnellon and his daughter, Nanci Roth, Beverly Hills; his brother, Edward Smith, Dunnellon; his sisters, Betty Jones, Palm Harbour, FL and Nell Smith, Opp, AL; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith, Brittney Roth, Brandon Smith and Rachel Roth.

On Saturday, June 20, 2015 starting at 10:00AM there will be a public viewing until 11:00 AM in which a Funeral Service will be conducted at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Pastor Raymond Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills.
